An Athens man reportedly found his stolen car at Alewine’s Auto Salvage near Hull last week.
Antonio Wells told deputy Scott Pulliam that his green 1970 Buick Wildcat had been stolen from Athens on Oct. 24 and that he had located it on Oct. 30 after it had been sold to Alewine’s. He provided a copy of the police report and the car was confirmed to be his. According to the report, he arranged with the salvage company to pick the car up the next morning. The vehicle was valued at $2,500.
