Bush will be gone soon so why continue to speak out against him? This seems to be the pacifier everyone is using to forget about all the corrupt and illegal things Bush and his cronies have done while in office.
I agree that change is about to come and that this election will put an end to the Bush administration once and for all. What we can’t let this election do is allow the atrocities of the last eight years to go unaccounted for.
Moving on will be great for all of us but forgetting that we have been lied to and used is not the correct way to go forward. Why are there no calls for investigations into the actions of the Bush administration? Where is the public outcry for truth and justice? When will those responsible for the crimes of the last eight years be held accountable? Why is this not one of the major issues of this election?
These questions should be on the minds of every American and shouted out loud until we have the answers to them. Instead I hear that Bush will be gone soon so why continue to speak out against him? The reason is simple. It’s the right thing to do!
Continue to speak out!
Sincerely,
Drago Tesanovich
(Or ACORN, or Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, or CAIR, or Ayers, you get where I'm going with this)
Bottom line? The Dems got us into this mess, and they'd better figure out how to get us out.
When you're through with that, come on back and we'll see if you learned anything useful.
If you don't feel like exerting that much effort into this mess, I suggest you refrain from commenting on it.
Just watch fair and balanced news If you thought BUSH
WAS BAD just give OBAMA only 4 YEARS
We don’t have the death camps but were hit in our pocket books while wealthy big business and oilmen received all the gains. They’re still being rewarded for taking out the middle class.
Many of our legal citizens were locked up and we don’t know if and how many were murdered under the guise of humane torture.
I’m still upset over U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean arrested and sentenced to over a decade in prison and the illegal/drug runner they shot allowed to go back to bringing drugs to our country from across the border.
A few days ago a friend from California called, he’s sixty-nine years old. He had a job to supplement his social security and his wife worked. Both had lost their jobs and were evicted from their apartment. His son and daughter gave them enough money to rent a motel for one week. They were checking out low income housing in some of the smaller towns and trying to get food stamps. But the reason he called was to get me to vote for McCain. For the last eight years Gary and I have been arguing over the political parties. We agreed to disagree again but for the life of me I don’t get his way of thinking.
Some folks are gluttons for punishment.
It’s up to us to keep asking questions and calling for accounts of everything done by the Republicans over the last eight years.
Some folks like my friend Gary don’t get it and never will so I’ll not use my time and energy trying to persuade them to investigate and ask questions.
I’m sure heads will roll once we get this new presidency under way. Obama is a strong person and has enough sense to know the last eight years are just wrong.
Don't bite the hand that feeds you. You might just starve.
For now, ou should be celebrating your win. You'll be reaping it soon enough.
Lying to Congress is one. Outing a CIA agent is another.
He didn't "lie" to Congress, everyone admits there was *some* bad intelligence (including Britain), however that's not to say that weapons of mass destruction weren't found.
Evidence to the contrary, like Joe Wilson's, was stepped on and denied, and treasonous measures taken in response, such as the illegal outing of a CIA agent.
Outing a CIA agent isn't against the law either, however unethical and unpalatable it is.
Executive priveledge should cover anything else.
Government spending will go through the roof because Obama won''t want to tell his party "no" in the house - Community oganizing people pleaser that he is.
Thanks to Bush, the American people have rejected "trickle-down" ecomomics, they have rejected all the anti-choice arguments (Obama's appointments to the Supreme Court will protect the Constitution and a woman's right to choice for a generation), they have rejected the twisted concept of "pre-emtive attack" (uh, that's the Bush Doctrine for you Palin's out there), and they have embraced a philosophy that America is made up of ALL colors, creeds, and religions; not just white, Judeo pseudo-Christians.
If it took someone like George Bush and the Republicans stealing a 2000 election and screwing things up for the last 8 years to really show the American people the folly of Republican philosophy and lead to our first African American President in an outright Democratic landslide, then it was worth putting up with the stupidity and crimes of Bush for the last 8 years.
Thanks, W! You helped us score a whole lotta "W's"...in the House, in the Senate, and in the largest Presidential landslide in over 20 years!
-Restoring federal spending on embryonic stem cell research to help develop cures and treatments for millions of suffering Americans.
-eliminating abortion restrictions on U.S. overseas aid.
-Closing the unconstitutional torture chamber called Guantonomo
-Eliminating unconstitutional wiretaps / spying on American citizens.
LET FREEDOM RING, BABY! The USA is BACK!
Every American who wishes to remain free needs to inscribe this in large letters where they can read it multiple times each day. Every time I let the government make a choice for me, I give up a little more of my freedom. I become more dependent and reliant on government to manage my life. I am right where the Socialists want me to be “ perpetually dependent on them.
I do not want to hear any more excuses from party Republicans about why the election was lost. Especially, I will not accept that the loss was the fault of Sarah Palin who was the only conservative in the race. Without her, Senator McCain would have endured a true landslide loss and not the mythical one that the media is now trying to sell. Republicans, once representative of conservatives in this nation, lost at a game they do not play well - Washington politics. They veered away from principled conservative ideals and instead played for political power, pork and media blessings. If we as principled conservatives cannot get Congress back and make our representatives toe the line, then you might as well clean out your 401K, take the penalty on it, put it in a coffee can and bury in the back yard. At least then, you will have a can full of money even though it will likely be worthless because of rampant inflation.
Do you believe uncompromisingly in the right to life? In your bill of rights? Especially your first amendment right to free speech? Do you believe in your right to bear arms? Do you believe in the freedom of Religion? Do you believe that Americans should only be taxed to the extent necessary for government to provide the basic services of government required by the Constitution? Do you believe that judges should be empathetic toward the Constitution rather than toward the situation of the little guy as our President-elect phrases it? Do you believe in redistribution of wealth through unfair taxation or do you believe wealth sharing is a personal choice? Do you believe in a strong national defense? If you believe in those things, then you need to find a candidate for Congress who does for 2010.
Keep your heads up troops. It is time to strap it on, leave the perimeter, and take the political fight to the socialists who have laid siege to our Capitol.
