Two people found dead off Hwy. 106 in Madison County in July died from narcotics abuse, according to Georgia Bureau of Investigation toxicology reports.
Tammy Marie Denmark, 39, Lyons, and Timothy Lee Sorrow, 31, Pine Street, Ila, were both found dead July 27 in a wooded area less than a mile north of Hull-Sanford Elementary School.
“The autopsy reports indicate that both Denmark’s and Sorrow’s manner of death was ruled accidental, caused by narcotics abuse,” a GBI press release stated. “No evidence of foul play was discovered during the investigation.”
GBI agent Jim Fullington said Thursday that toxicology reports showed that both of the deceased had taken four types of drugs.
The GBI crime lab determined that Sorrow had taken morphine, cocaine, alprazalam (xanax) and flouxetine (Prozac). The lab found that Denmark had taken morphine, cocaine, alprazalam and diazepam (valium).
Investigators found various prescription drugs from the home of one of Sorrow’s relatives with the deceased. The relative’s home was burglarized in Clarke County.
