Actions filed recently in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:
•Samuel Curtis Kitchens, 19, Maysville, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $472 for possession of a pistol by person under 18. A charge of marijuana (less than an ounce) was dismissed.
•David Lee Evans, 31, Commerce, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $405 for two counts of battery. A charge of cruelty to children was dismissed.
•James Waymon Hires, 21, Alto, was sentenced to one year probation for disorderly conduct (reduced from interference with government property), marijuana (less than an ounce) and failure to maintain a lane. He was also fined $480. Charges of violation of Georgia’s Controlled Substance Act (VGCSA) and DUI were dismissed.
•Justin Lee Wilson, 19, Athens, was sentenced to seven years probation and fined $1,465 for theft by taking (reduced from burglary). Charges of possession of a firearm or knife and theft by taking were dismissed.
•Barry Sartain, 41, Ila, was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,140 for VGCSA — possession of methamphetamine. He was also sentenced to one year probation for transactions in drug-related objects (reduced from possession of tools for the commission of a crime).
•Steven Massey, 19, Ila, was sentenced to seven years probation and fined $2,015 for VGCSA — possession of methamphetamine. Charges of marijuana (less than an ounce) and inmates’ possession of drugs or weapons were dismissed.
•Jerry Ray Carroll, 49, Elberton, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $270 for possession of a drug-related object (reduced from possession of tools for the commission of a crime).
•Kathy Cloud, 41, Winterville, was sentenced to three years probation and fined $1,140 for VGCSA — possession of cocaine. She was also sentenced to one year probation for possession of drug-related objects (reduced from possession of tools for the commission of a crime).
•Timothy Peter Betts, 26, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $1,210 for drugs not in original container, speeding and DUI drugs. Charges of possession of a firearm or knife during a crime attempt, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and two counts of VGCSA were dismissed.
•Timothy Earl Dalton, 39, Comer, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $270 for possession of drugs not in original container (reduced from VGCSA — possession of oxycodone).
•Carrie Leigh Redish, 34, Douglas, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $270 for harassing phone calls.
•Ronald F. Daughtry, 67, Athens, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $960 for reckless driving (reduced from DUI). He was also sentenced to one year probation for failure to maintain a lane.
•Abraham Robert Gould, 33, Merritt Island, FL, was sentenced to one year probation for reckless driving (reduced from DUI) and open container violation and fined $970. He was also sentenced to 40 hours of community service and 24 hours of confinement.
•Joshua Hardigree, 25, Elberton, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $1,475 for obstruction of officers and battery. A charge of false statements, writings or concealment of facts was dismissed.
•Mickey Rooker, 48, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $830 for reckless conduct. A charge of aggressive driving was dismissed.
