A Commerce man was sentenced recently in Madison County Superior Court to four years in jail on a theft charge.
Terry Wayne Caudle, 46, Commerce, was sentenced to four years confinement, six years probation and fined $1,465 for theft by taking.
He was also sentenced to 10 years probation and fined $1,465 on another theft by taking charge. A charge of burglary was dismissed.
Other actions filed recently in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:
•Derrick Ray Bradshaw, 24, Watkinsville, was sentenced to six months probation for reckless driving (reduced from DUI drugs) and four months probation for failure to maintain lane. He was also fined $980. Charges of violation of Georgia’s Controlled Substance Act (VGCSA) — possession of a controlled substance and possession of drugs not in original container were dismissed.
•Shane Bridges, 35, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation for carrying a pistol without a license and carrying a concealed weapon. He was fined $1,475. Charges of possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm/knife during a crime or crime attempt were dismissed.
•Phil Rodney Hampton, 51, Athens, was sentenced to three months probation and fined $560 for driving too fast for conditions. A charge of DUI alcohol was dismissed.
•Danny Woodrow Cheek, 39, Marion, N.C., was sentenced to one year probation for VGCSA — possession of drugs not in original container and three months probation for brake lights and turn signals required. He was also fined $1,010. A charge of possession of hydrocodone was dismissed.
•Jason Lee Wrinkle, 34, Duluth, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $1,155 for reckless driving (reduced from DUI). A second charge of DUI was dismissed.
•Richard Johnson, 37, Comer, was sentenced to one year probation for reckless driving and six months probation for speeding. He was also fined $980. A charge of DUI alcohol was dismissed.
•Matthew Justin Power, 23, Carlton, was sentenced to six months probation and fined $830 for reckless driving (reduced from DUI). Charges of open container violation and furnishing, purchasing or possessing alcohol by persons under the legal age were dismissed.
•Shannon Jo Human, 28, Bowman, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $472 for obstruction of officers. A charge of failure to appear was dismissed.
•Michelle Lynn Callaway, 45, Hull, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $800 for theft by taking.
•Barry V. Cheely, 50, Colbert, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $800 for battery (family violence).
•Della Maria Butler, 32, Danielsville, was sentenced to one year probation, 40 hours of community service and fines of $1,291 for DUI alcohol — less safe. Charges of open container violation, endangering the life of a child and violation of conditions on limited driving permit were dismissed.
•Marcus Mathis, 20, Colbert, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $1,425 for simple battery.
•Terrell Dewayne Moore, 35, Athens, was sentenced to 15 years probation for VGCSA — possession of methamphetamine. He was also sentenced to one year probation for DUI drugs and driving while license suspended or revoked. Moore was fined $2,166. Charges of use of a license plate to conceal identity of a vehicle, no proof of insurance and possession of tools for the commission of a crime were dismissed.
•Julian Roberto Benitez, 37, Athens, was sentenced to five years probation for VGCSA — possession or purchase of cocaine and one year probation for marijuana (less than an ounce). He was also fined $1,602.50. Charges of crossing guard line with or giving controlled substance to inmate and possession of tools for the commission of a crime were dismissed.
•Bradley Elijah Bell, 23, Comer, was sentenced to 15 years probation and fined $1,465 for aggravated assault.
•Jason Hudson, 29, Danielsville, was sentenced to three years probation and fined $2,015 for VGCSA — possession of methamphetamine.
•Nathan Lord, 26, Danielsville, was sentenced to five years probation and fined $2,015 for VGCSA — possession of methamphetamine. Charges of littering highway, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and driving while license suspended or revoked were dismissed.
•Terry Glenn Meeks, 37, Hartwell, was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,465 for burglary.
•Jasmine Delane Elrod, 31, Danielsville, was sentenced to three years probation and fined $1,340 on three counts of financial transaction card fraud.
•Pierre Pattman, 24, Hull, was sentenced to two years probation and fined $840 on two counts of forgery in the first degree.
•Robert Dillon Hamby, 18, Commerce, was sentenced to 10 years probation and fined $1,465 for theft by taking (reduced from burglary). Another charge of theft by taking was dismissed.
