Wednesday, March 16, marked the 30th legislative day of the 2011 session. Known as “Crossover Day.” This critical day was the last chance that most bills had to pass the House of Representatives and make their way to the Senate, or vice versa. If a House bill did not pass the House by the end of Crossover Day, it has little chance of becoming law this year. Due to this deadline, the House debated and voted on long lists of legislation last week.
