A Hull man was arrested recently on family violence charges.
Richard Earl Helms, 44, of 9050 Hwy. 106 South, was charged with battery FVA, battery, criminal damage to property in the second degree and kidnapping.
According to the incident report, deputies were summoned to the Shell Station on Hwy. 29 South where they met with a woman who told them she had been involved in a physical altercation at the station. Statements from a witness were also taken.

•Terence Maurice Campbell, 31, 127 Ramble Hill’s Way, Athens, bench warrant (original charges: driving without a license and no seatbelt).
•Cager Edward Cheek, 32, Forest Hill Circle, Apt. 6, Crawford, order to incarcerate.
•Christopher Bryan Leonard, 19, 252 Cleghorne Road, Colbert, DUI (first offense), adult restraint law seatbelt, consumption of alcohol by a minor, defective equipment and failure to drive within a single lane.
•Anterrius Damarcus Long, 18, 265 Elm Road, Carlton, terroristic threats and acts (felony) and criminal damage to property.
•Michael Loy Martin, 36, 2182 Lem Edwards Road, Colbert, when a person is a party to a crime.
•Felipe Medellin, 33, 1139 Willie Black Road, Elberton, driving without a license.
•Lesley Dale Miller, 39, P.O. Box 403, Winterville, possession, manufacture, distribution, etc. VGCSA and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
