The following local government and community agencies hold regular meetings which are open to the public:

Madison County Board of Commissioners
Second and fourth Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the government complex on Albany Avenue in Danielsville.

Madison County Planning and Zoning Commission
First and third Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the government complex.

Madison County Board of Education
Third Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the library at Madison County High School.

Madison County Public Safety Communications/ E-911 advisory board
Thursday prior to the second Monday of each month. Meetings are held at 11:30 a.m. at the Ila Restaurant.

Madison County Department of Family and Childrens Services
Third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the DFACS office in Danielsville.

Madison County Industrial Authority
Third Monday at 6 p.m. in the county government complex.

Danielsville City Council
First Monday at 7 p.m. in Danielsville City Hall. The council also holds a work session at 7 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the Monday meeting.

Colbert City Council
First Monday at 7 p.m. in Colbert City Hall.

Comer City Council
First Tuesday following the first Sunday of the month at 7 p.m. in Comer City Hall.

Ila City Council
First Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Ila City Hall.

Hull City Council
Second Monday at 7 p.m. in Hull City Hall

Carlton City Council
First Monday at 7 p.m. in Carlton City Hall.

Madison County Board of Tax Assessors
Second Thursday of each month at the Madison County government complex conference room.
